T. Renner, "Red Sotheby's Faction," 2008, collage, watercolor, on illustration board, 11" x 14.

Don't miss my artist's reception at Urban Eats on Sunday, June 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. but you can visit the art anytime before then!

My exhibit is only part of the cool things going on at Urban Eats. Here's the official press release for June:
JUNE ARTS EVENTS AT THE URBAN ARTS COLLECTIVE, CELEBRATING ART IN THE CITY

The Urban Arts Collective, sponsored by Urban Eats Café, at 3301 Meramec Street , St Louis Mo 63118 , announces their June 2009 Calendar of Events. Each artist’s event will be accompanied by food and drink specials in the café. No reservations are needed, unless you have a party of more than 5. There is no cover charge for any of the events in the Urban Arts Collective Space.

Tony Renner, Artist: A Tribute to Paris!

Sunday, June 14, 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

June will be a tribute to Paris & Dada featuring artwork inspired by artists such as Marcel Duchamp, Kurt Schwitters, and Francis Picabia. The café will serve Parisian-style delights to complement the exhibit.

Andre & Lisa Tourrette, Artists

Sunday, June 21, 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Andre' and Lisa Tourrette present 'primary colors and negative space' for their closing show at Urban Eats Cafe. Andre has brought to life a new group of sculptures using skeletons, a term used for the leftover negative space of sheets of steel used for 'real jobs'. Lisa will paint these sculptures first in primary colors, which has a deep history in steel sculpture and enhance them with a bold use of color. Please join us for lunch at Urban Eats on June 21 where we will once again raffle a sculpture at no cost. Everyone who orders lunch is eligible to win.

Elizabeth Fournie, Artist

Friday, June 26, 4:00 to 7:00 PM

Elizabeth’s Geisha Girls continue their Journey through the Summer Solstice.

The Urban Arts Collective Project is an ongoing partnership with rotating artists who display their work in the Arts Collective space, adjacent to the Urban Eats Café. The goal is to create awareness for both the artists and the historic Dutchtown South City neighborhood.
